Assignment 23: Relevant Presentation Reflection
Prior to giving my relevant presentation this week, I watched this video:

It gave lots of good information and advice for any public speaking endeavors. I did not know that the most common fear of Americans is public speaking and those who have the most anxiety about public speaking tend to show more physical "symptoms" of nervousness when actually speaking. There is, however, a method to overcome this anxiety. It is called the 3 P's. The first P is prepare. This step is to know your material inside and out as well as plan out what you are going to say before you go into your presentation. The second P is posture and physicality. If you exude confidence, even if you are not, your audience won't know the difference and you'll feel better as well. The last P is pander to your audience. This means catering your presentation to your audience. You do not want to bore them, you want to present a topic that pertains to them and interests them concurrently.
